Political blogging has become one of the foremost methods of discussing what is going on in the world. While mainstream news is obliged to practice impartiality, there are no such restrictions for the likes of Go Lassie Go! and Slugger O'Toole. Two highly popular sites that blog on the political environment of their own Celtic nations, Scotland and Northern Ireland respectively, they often attract reader numbers higher than many television audiences with their passionate discourse on current affairs. In this session we learn how and why these blogs have becomes so necessary in today's culture.
