Green Light: Get Animated!

PYXL Productions is currently developing Is Fann Guth an Éin, an Irish language 3D animated film supported by the Irish Language Broadcast Fund and the BBC.
Directors Ciarán Maher and David Haughey have collaborated on several animation projects over the past decade and in this session they'll discuss the nature of their collaboration process, generative vs. timelined animation, getting started as an animator in the industry, the challenges and opportunities for small production houses, and the technical and creative secrets behind David's stunning 3D animation. They'll show the design, modelling, texturing, and rigging phases of 3D character development and preview some work in progress from Is Fann Guth an Éin.
