Stirling Film & TV Productions produced this nine-part music series for TG4 in which eight celebrities embark on a journey to learn a musical instrument under expert tuition of a renowned musician. Each programme charts their trials and triumphs, giving an insight into the artistic and social world of traditional music and proving it's never too late to pick up an instrument.

Among the line-up are an exciting mix of talents:

Sunderland footballer Andy Reid, Belfast playwright Marie Jones, RTÉ Radio presenter John Creedon, Rós na Rún's Macdara Ó Fátharta, IFTA nominated actor and comedian Paddy Courtney, actor and singer Adrian Dunbar, Dearbhla Lennon of Riverdance fame and in this programme we follow Oscar winning actor Jeremy Irons at home and abroad as he learns the fiddle, from Dublin's fine fiddler Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh.
