Throughout history, drama documentary has been one of film and television's most popular, but also most controversial, forms. However, critics continue to debate the extent to which this genre can 'blur the boundaries' of fact and fiction - creating a sensitive balance between factual accuracy and dramatic storytelling is always challenging.  The main issue with any drama documentary is that it deals with ‘real' lives and situations.  There are some stories of such public interest that they need to be told but how soon is too soon?  The turbulent history of The Troubles will be the focus of this session with a wider look at the ethics of drama documentary.
