Into The Wild
Friday 23 April 2010 | 09.30 - 10.45 | Millers Suite
Panel:
Chair: Joe Mahon, Westway Films
John Murray, Crossing the Line Films
Ed Wardle, Documentary Filmmaker (Alone In The Wild)
This panel session highlights production success stories borne out of small-team production set-ups. What is it like to create a programme as part of a tiny team; being the cameraman/soundman/director? What is it like to film in ‘unknown' and sometimes hostile environments? Ed Wardle, who spent 7 weeks 'Alone In The Wild' for Channel 4 and John Murray of Crossing The Line Films discuss the ups and downs involved in such missions and also explain the background on how such programmes/ideas came to fruition in the first place.
