Documentary On One - Con Carey and the Twelve Apostles

They say that Con Carey is the only man in Kerry to be buried twice. A bachelor labourer, Con died on his way home from the pub on April 1st 1978. His story is still spoken about - because of what happened him after death - and of the 12 locals involved, the 12 apostles. 36years after Con’s death, Mairead Heffernan goes in search of a story she first heard from her grandfather. She travels back to the village of Brosna in North East Kerry – and journeys into the heart of a rural story where humanity and community shine through.
