Grand Slam Day

March 19th 2005 marked a turning point in Welsh rugby as they ended a 27 year drought for a Grand Slam, and kick started the new era of Welsh success. Grand Slam Day celebrated the ten year anniversary of that day – reliving the final day of the 2005 6 Nations: the build up, the match itself and the inevitable celebrations, with contributions from the players that were on the pitch, the fans in the stands and around the world, and celebrities including Max Boyce and Alex Jones. Following its success, GSD was also broadcast on BBC 5 live.
