Cornwall's Native Poet Charles Causley
Charles Causley was one of the great poets of his generation. He lived his whole life in Cornwall except for the years he served in the Royal Navy during WW2. He wrote about the people he lived and worked with and about both World Wars. His great friend was the poet Ted Hughes, they competed against each other for the job of Poet Laureate – Hughes won. This year is the 100th anniversary of his birth, the event has been much celebrated in Cornwall. The film includes many living poets who respect his work today.
