Son of Kerry, Son of Sam

In the summer of 1976, ‘Son of Sam’ shot his first victim at Pelham Bay, in the Bronx, New York. In the thirteen months that followed, he carried out a brutal murder spree that gripped an entire city in terror and made headlines around the world. And one Irishman, NYPD Deputy Inspector Timothy Dowd, was tasked with catching this monster. Forty years on, journalist Seán Mac an tSíthigh travels to New York to uncover the incredible story of how fellow Kerryman Timothy Dowd led the largest manhunt in New York history, to capture one of America’s most notorious serial killers.
