Y Côr

A warm and poignant film on the Trelawnyd Male Voice Choir, one of Wales' iconic choirs. Since the choir was established in 1933, north-east Wales has undergone significant change. Usurped by tourism, the heavy industries of coal and steel have long disappeared, which in turn led to a more transient and seasonal population, and the choir's current predicament reflects these changes. The choir's average age currently stands at 74, and if it is to survive, it needs new members. We follow the recruitment efforts of Ed, Merf, Gwyn and others, and delve into their everyday lives in the process.
