Blas Ceoil
Caoimhe Ní Chathail has been broadcasting with BBC Gaeilge for one now. She holds the live, one hour traditional music slot on a Friday night, as Gaeilge and bilingually, inside the English language radio station (BBC Radio Ulster). She brings her audience introductions to new traditional musicians at home and abroad and has also led several live outside broadcasts – Oireachtas na Gaeilge, Fleadh Uladh, Bóthar Seoighe’s 50 year celebration – the last one being included in this application. As a singer herself, her ability to connect with her guests has brought a certain depth to her interviews.
