After losing her job, Marie lives alone, stuck in an uninspiring routine. She is contacted by Anne, Klet's mother. This man had in the past embarked Marie in a dangerous story. She learns he is on the run and in danger of death. The two women then go in search of him. But, Marie will quickly realize that the danger does not come from where she would have imagined.
