    2020 Commissioning

    TG4 PROGRAMME DEVELOPMENT ROUND
    MAY 2020

    The deadline for applications to this round is 5pm on Friday, 15th May 2020

    TG4 welcomes applications from the independent production sector for the development of projects (singles or series) targeting upcoming national and international funding rounds such as the BAI

    Sound and Vision Scheme, the Irish Language Broadcast Fund, the Celtic International Fund, EBU funds and/or potential co-production opportunities.

    In this development round, funding of up to €5000 will be available for ambitious, high-end projects that have a strong resonance with TG4 audiences and meet our scheduling and slot requirements.

    Following this phase of development, producers will have the opportunity to resubmit their developed projects to TG4 later this year for full production support to these funding rounds when they are announced.

    Scéim Forbartha do scannáin fhada drámaíochta I nGaeilge

    Tá an scéim seo bunaithe ag TG4, Bord Scannán na hÉireann (BSÉ) agus Údarás Craolacháin na hÉireann (BAI) chun tacaíocht a thabhairt do shaothar nua bhríomhar fadscannán as Gaeilge, léirithe ag comhlachtaí le ard-scileanna cruthaitheacha.

    Tá mar aidhm ag Scéim Cine4 scéalaíocht láidir, samhlaíocht fhísiúil agus luachanna arda léirithe a spreagadh. Caithfear a léiriú san iarratas gur scannán é a bheadh tarraingteach don lucht féachana Gaeilge, lucht féachana Éireannach agus lucht féachana idirnáisiúnta. Beidh buiséad de suas le €1.2 milliún ag na tionscnaimh a léireofar agus beidh ‘tréimhse phictiúrlanna’ ag na scannáin a léirítear faoin scéim tréimhse ina mbeidh siad páirteach i bhféilte scannán agus ar taispeáint i bpictiúrlanna sula gcraolfar ar TG4 iad.

    POTA BREISE OLLSOLÁTHAIR:

    €400,000 sa bhliain ar feadh ceithre bliana

    Fáilteoidh TG4 roimh iarratais ar Phóta Ollsoláthair sa bhreis i gceann de na réimsí seo a leanas: Ceol Traidisiúnta, Siamsaíocht Náisiúnta, Faisnéis Náisiúnta nó Faisnéis Staire.

    Táthar ag súil go mbeidh conradh léirithe an ollsoláthair seo sínithe faoi thús mhí Dheireadh Fómhair 2020. Mairfidh an conradh ollsoláthair ar feadh tréimhse 4 bliana. Beifear ag súil go dtosófar ag cur na gclár ar fáil ó Shamhradh 2021 ar aghaidh ach is féidir cláir a chur ar fáil roimhe sin.

    Seo a leanas na critéir le haghaidh cinneadh eagarthóireachta don bhabhta coimisiúnaithe ollsoláthair seo:

    • Caighdeán, cruthaitheacht agus breisíocht an ollsoláthair do chlársceideal TG4
    • Oiriúint eagarthóireachta do riachtanais agus do shealanna sceidil TG4
    • Costas in aghaidh na huaire
    • Taithí ar léiriúchán teilifíse
    • Taithí ar shuim an lucht féachana náisiúnta a spreagadh maidir le hábhar ar na meáin éagsúla
    • Struchtúr láidir gnó ag an gcomhlacht
    • Polasaí ag an gcomhlacht chun úsáid na Gaeilge a fhorbairt
    • Cultúr sa chomhlacht i bhfabhar cómhaoinithe agus comhléirithe

    Meastar nach gcaithfidh TG4 níos mó ná €400,000 in aghaidh na bliana ar an ollsoláthar coimisiúnaithe seo.

    Roghnófar an t- iarratas is fearr i seánra amháin as na cheithre seanrá cláir seo ar leanas:

    1. Siamsaíocht Cheoil Thraidisiúnta, 2. Siamsaíocht Fhíorasach, 3. Fíorasach Náisiúnta, 4. Fíorasach Náisiúnta Staire.
