Self-Shooting Clinic (Evening)
Duration: 0.5 days
Got a problem with self-shooting, or want to know more about directing with a camera in your hand? This Q&A session is your chance to get answers to your questions. You’ll also be able to learn from the experiences of the tutor, a current director and camera operator, and the shared experiences of your fellow attendees.
The tutor will use a Sony FS7 and/or Canon C300 camera to illustrate technical solutions to your questions and provide advice for dealing with situations on location which have caught you out. Topics from previous sessions include:
- How to deal with awkward lighting and exposure issues.
- Conducting yourself more effectively on location as a self-shooting director.
- Technical questions about camera and sound.
- Explaining technical concepts and jargon
- Improving composition
- Improving the look of interviews
- Shooting and covering actuality and uncontrolled action with the edit in mind
