Desperately Seeking Asylum is an investigation by BBC Scotland into the UK asylum system, examining closely whether it is fit for purpose. Over 60 minutes, the BBC’s Disclosure team tells the story of what it’s like to seek refuge in the UK, though the eyes of asylum seekers, and at a time when the UK Government is seeking to clamp down on asylum seekers entering its borders. With powerful testimony & interviews, and exclusive footage from those within the system, this documentary takes the viewer into the normally hidden world of the asylum seeker.
