Personal Space by Mairéad Kiernan
Personal Space tells the story of a lonely young shop worker Helen who develops an unhealthy fascination with her charismatic new housemate Lola. The house becomes a warzone but the real battle is the one in Helen's head. Helen must fight for her house and, more importantly, fight for her sanity before she does something unforgivable. The play was shortlisted for RTÉ Drama On One's annual playwrighting competition, the PJ O'Connor Awards in 2021.
