Bloody Sunday 1920

On the morning of the November 21st 1920, 14 alleged British agents and spies were killed by Michael Collins’ notorious IRA ‘squad’. That afternoon, a combined police and military force, descended on Croke Park, where a Gaelic football game was taking place. What unfolded there was a massacre that changed Irish history. Ninety seconds of shooting claimed 14 lives Featuring contributions from family members of those who died, as well as leading historians and academics, this programme recounts the dramatic events of this vicious day.
