Mair Elliott was 17 years old when she filmed this programme. In a powerful interview, she speaks about her lonely struggle with anorexia, self-harm and depression. She shows us the deep scars on her arms which are a permanent reminder of her torment and shares her personal diary recording her darkest thoughts. Mair also takes us on a journey to hear the traumatic experiences of other young girls who have suffered like her and challenges politicians to provide more support for those fighting mental illness.
