Nadolig Bryn Terfel
A contemporary programme of Christmas carols sung to the accompaniment of traditional Welsh folk instruments. Bryn Terfel steps away from his usual classical repertory and each performance is set in the historic locations and grounds of the Museum of Welsh Life. Bryn is accompanied by a band of folk musicians and his guests include Calan, Gwyneth Glyn, Brychan Llyr, Brigyn and Gwenan Gibbard. Christmas poems by Welsh poet Myrddin ap Dafydd bridge the songs and remind us of Wales’ Festive traditions. The programme combines old melodies with new instrumental arrangements to celebrate the Nativity.
