Ffwtbol a Fflêrs: Cofio Arwyr `76

John Hardy’s personal mission to pay tribute to the Welsh national football side which reached the last eight of the 1976 European Championships. John uncovers heroic and hilarious tales about patriotic Welshmen pouring pints over Cockneys, an unproven English manager, dossiers, bribes, the Prince of Wales, dodgy deals, continental breakfasts and Cold War skulduggery, resulting in dodgy penalties, rattling knees, disallowed goals, flying corner flags and crushing disappointment at Ninian Park. Combining personal interviews with the likes of Terry Yorath, Leighton James, John Mahoney and Arfon Griffiths, Ffwtbol a Fflêrs redresses the abject failure of the Welsh public and media to recognise the remarkable achievement.
