Big Country
Big Country is a 4-part sitcom, written by comedian Patrick Kielty. The series follows the fortunes of a shameless farmer and his larger than life family as they attempt to hold onto their failing border farm and Country & Western radio station. Storylines focus on the relationships between the cunning country ‘bandit’ JD Quinn, played by Conleth Hill (Games of Thrones), his loving but idealistic daughter Kate, (Amy Huberman - Moone Boy), and his mother-in-law Maggie Murray,(Pauline McLynn - Father Ted). JD's scams are aided by his witless farmhand, Mikey Moran (Ciarán McMenamin – Jonathan Creek/Primeval). The series is made for BBC Radio Ulster by Cave Bear Productions
