BBC - Your Ma
This Interactive video project made by BBC Northern Ireland went live for Mother’s Day 2017. Aimed at helping users imagine what life was like for their ‘Ma’ at their age, the project used societal, political, cultural archive assets and statistics to encourage discussions between the generations. The pilot targeted younger women, but was open for all to use and covered eras ranging from the 1950s right up until the early 2000s. We used an interactive video tool called EKO to allow the user to navigate through the archive and choose their own journey with their own mother in mind.
