BBC Arts NI Presents: Collaborations
BBC NI Arts asked some of Ireland’s most celebrated musical talent to collaborate with artists of contrasting genre from their own for this special music programme. The result was unique performances from Clannad’s Moya Brennan with electronica artists, Ryan Vail and Elma Orkestra; pianist Barry Douglas with The Gloaming’s fiddle player, Martin Hayes, Horslips with Dónal O’Connor from, Ulaid, and DJ/composer Phil Kieran with baritone Karl McGuckin and Jolene O’Hara. Beautifully filmed with atmospheric lighting and artistic direction, the show was filmed in the BBC Blackstaff studios, Belfast, and is presented by BBC NI music presenter, Stephen McCauley.
