A Illa Das Mentiras
Based on true facts, “The island of lies” tells us the story of The Santa Isabel that sank on the dawn of the 2nd of January, 1921 in front of the rugged and tough coast of Salvora, a Galician island. Due to the lack of men in the village, three young women islanders, Maria, Josefa and Cipriana, decided to come to the rescue saving 48 persons in an heroic action that will carry fatal consequences for them. After this tragic event, an Argentine journalist, León, arrives to Salvora to cover the shipwreck news report. And step by step he will unveil several suspicious circunstances around that very same night in Salvora which eventually leads him to think that the sinking may have not been a simple accident. From this moment on, the life in the island will be shaken and nothing will ever be the same.
