Côr Cymru - Corau Cymysg

It had been over two years since many of these choirs had been able to perform but in February 2022 they returned to the Arts Centre in Aberystwyth to compete in S4C’s bi-annual choral competition, Côr Cymru. In the first programme of the series, for mixed choirs, three choirs took to the stage to try to impress the international judges – CF1, Côr Cadnant and Côrdydd. Morgan Jones and Heledd Cynwal presented the broadcast. There were so many challenges in terms of staging the event this year – Covid with its latest variants and complications and then Storm Eunice which managed to present some additional challenges. But, through it all, we managed to record and broadcast the series for S4C and this, the first programme, set the series off on a high note.
