Stori Stiwdio: Stori Ghofran
Ghofran Hamza is a Syrian refugee who now lives in Aberystwyth. In the video she gives us a vivid account of how she and her family were forced to flee from their hometown in Syria in order to find a new life away from the terrors of the civil war. As a way of integrating further into society, Ghofran decided to open a cafe in Aberystwyth and has since gone on to study International Politics at the University of Aberystwyth. Although Ghofran’s Syrian and Welsh lives are culturally worlds apart, her inspirational journey shows the lengths refugees have to go to lead a safe and peaceful life in 2022.
