RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta
RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta Celebrating 50 years on the air and bringing the radio back out amongst the listeners 2022 has been a special year for RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta for two reasons in particular. Firstly, the station first went to air on the 2nd of April 1972 and this year we celebrated that historical broadcasting milestone, 50 years on the air. The second reason is because society began to open-up again following the pandemic that kept us apart since early 2020. For these two reasons, our mission this year has been to bring the radio out amongst the listeners, engage with the community in their homes, clubs and venues. This past year has been a celebration of who we are, what we are, where we are and where we are going as a community.
