RTÉ Investigates: Sex for Rent
RTÉ Investigates went undercover to expose the growing issue of sex for rent in Ireland. A researcher met and secretly filmed 4 different landlords taking advantage of the housing crisis, by putting up ads online looking for sex in exchange for accommodation. The landlords ranged from a man in his 30s, to a couple who had posted an ad specifically seeking a Ukrainian woman. The report also heard from experts on the lack of a specific law in Ireland to ban sex-for-rent, and their views on what needs to be done to try and stamp out this form of sexual exploitation.
