Black Music Wales
Right now in Wales, something special is happening. A whole load of new, black artists are all over network radio, playing major festivals, and feeling love and respect from all over the world. But it’s the first time in history a scene like this has happened. So why has it taken so long? Newport rapper L E M F R E C K sets out to discover why, by exploring the often-overlooked history of Welsh black music, from today’s exciting wave of new artists to the forgotten pioneers of the past.
