Le Chéile

The world's first film in Gàidhlig (Scottish Gaelic) and Gaeilge (Irish). A Scottish Rangers supporter and an Irish Celtic supporter find common ground on a bus ride home over their ability to speak similar languages. Created by an all-female crew, it is a directorial debut focusing on the differences and similarities between Gaelic and Irish and how languages can bring people together. Exploring themes of friendship, sectarianism, and language, the short film aims to put minority languages in conversation with modern day issues, consequently bringing them into popular media consumption.
