Nowhere in Scotland has the impact of the pandemic been greater than in its care homes. With nearly 2,500 deaths linked to Covid-19, Disclosure investigates what went wrong. Featuring heartbreaking and sometimes uplifting testimony from the families most affected, the programme also gives a voice to those at the front line – the carers. Poignant and searing interviews carried out with carers, who felt they couldn’t speak openly for fear of losing their jobs, are brought to life by six of Scotland’s most famous actors. This landmark programme provoked a storm of coverage and demands for a rethink of how we care for our elderly.
