Iaith ar Daith
In this Prime-time S4C series 5 celebrities who have a passion to learn Welsh head on a linguistic road trip with a fluent Welsh-speaking mentor as their guide. In this first episode Gavin and Stacey star Ruth Jones and her friend the actor Gillian Elisa ( not forgetting Cariad the chihuahua) take to the road , and over the course of 4 days Ruth attempts to learn and practise her Welsh skills- with varying degrees of success! Gillian sets Ruth various challenges as she attempts to serve customers, make Welsh language train announcements and has an interesting experience with some sheep! The series – although an entertainment format aims to encourage and inspire others to learn the language.
