Hogmanay 2019
A landmark moment for audiences on BBC One, as Scotland’s biggest night of the year gets its first new Hogmanay show in 20 years. Susan Calman hosts a sofa of Scotland's biggest stars as they look to the New Year – with live scenes from the streets of Edinburgh and Stonehaven as the nation counts down to The Bells. Welcome in 2020 with the Lone Piper from Edinburgh Castle, followed by the international firework display. Music from Scottish bands Travis and Twin Atlantic, and alongside them, high energy traditional music from Elephant Sessions, joined by Julie Fowlis for Auld Lang Syne.
