In the Tall Ship, Caitlin and Joe are in the middle of a tense standoff as Caitlin tries to keep the tablet from him. Caitlin angrily confronts Joe over his messages to Blondie and things take a dangerous turn as Joe grabs a poker from the fire and launches for the tablet. Caitlin flees to the kitchen but she’s chased by Joe. As Joe wrestles his way into the room, Caitlin desperately tries keeping the tablet from him. Caitlin and Joe end up in a power struggle for the tablet. Caitlin’s giving all her strength to stopping Joe but as Joe describes his hate for Caitlin and his predatory love for Ruby, Caitlin buckles in disgust. She’s forced to watch helplessly as Joe holds the tablet under water, destroying it. Caitlin’s still adamant she’ll tell the police everything, but when Joe threatens to hurt pregnant Ruby again, she feels powerless to stop him. As Joe leaves, Caitlin’s rage bubbled over and charges at Joe with all the hatred in the world, hitting him over the head with a frying pan. Back at AJ’s flat, Maggie and Ellie worry that Caitlin is still not back. They arrive to the pub flat to find a panicked Caitlin who pleads with them to stay away. Concerned about what on earth is going on, Maggie bursts into the room to find an unconscious Joe. The McLean’s argue over what to do next. Feeling the legal system has already failed them, Caitlin and Ellie dispute Maggie’s desires to call the police. Caitlin convinces Maggie to give her time to find evidence on Joe, to get him locked up for good. As Caitlin leaves the McLean woman don’t notice Joe’s eyes opening. As the police are closing in, a resolute Caitlin locks Joe in the room and leaves him alone so buy some time.  The McLean women are safe for now. Caitlin tries her best to blend in with the punters enjoying the Burn’s supper. Later leaded by Caitlin, the McLean women go back to the locked room where Joe is tied up. All three of them are aghast to find Joe dead. As the women discuss what to do next, Caitlin reveals she could care less about the consequences, she’s just relived that her wee girl is finally safe! Not wanting anyone else but her caught up in this, Caitlin fiercely tells them to leave now. However Maggie doesn’t listen and Caitlin’s forced to accept their help moving the body. The McLean’s wrap Joe’s body in the rug and hide it in the water tower. After it’s done, all three women promise to never speak of this again.  Dylan is accosted by Bernie, Scarlett and Suzie. His chef skills are needed to save the Burn’s supper. Dylan’s unsure but with pressure from Bernie he soon realizes he doesn’t have much choice. Dylan’s horrified though when he discovers the less than traditional ingredients. He’s utterly disgusted when he’s handed the spuds in a tin, he’s expected to cook. Things go from bad to worse as Scarlett reveals Stevie’s the entertainment! What has Dylan got himself into! Dylan’s slightly reviled though when he receives good reviews from his taste test with Angus. Dylan reveals his magical creation to the pub. It goes down a hoot and Dylan’s grub and Stevie’s Burns performance saved the day! With customers piling up and no sign of Bob, Angus heads to the O’Hara household for answers. He’s stunned to discover Bob’s in Australia with Callum. An enraged Angus can’t believe Bob would be so selfish. Angus isn’t interested in Scarlett’s excuse, he needs to tell Kim the truth. However he can’t bear to add more problems to Kim’s already hectic life and he lies to cover for Bob. Later, feeling guilty about lying to Kim, Angus confesses Bob’s whereabouts and Kim is raging. Angus is sheepish when Kim confronts him, over his motives for telling her about Bob. Angus swears he’s just trying to be a good pal but as Angus comforts Kim, it’s clear his feelings for her aren’t going away. Kim calms down and the two of them, old friends have a drink in the garage.
