Anna Curran
When Anna Curran thought about launching her Sunday morning show in May of this year she never thought it would involve The Pope, a rockstar and an Olympic gold medallist but, it did! While upwards on 100’000 thousand people flocked to the Vatican, on a nearby balcony Anna overcame pesky pigeons and a marching band to deliver a two hour long diverse, informative and conversational show mixing news, entertainment and music which has became a staple of Sunday with Anna Curran. Anna brings her warmth, wit and conversational style to her weekly show and has a natural rapport with listeners. She isn’t afraid to ask difficult questions but does it with a lightness of touch. A skilled interviewer whose journalism shines through whether she’s interviewing a young mother overcoming addiction or a grammy award winning singer. Aswell as fronting a weekly programme Anna presented a 15 fifteen episode podcast ‘Topwoman’ which celebrated the wins and wisdom of women at the top to inspire others to get there too. She also presented a 4 part radio documentary series ‘What makes a derry girl?’ which explored the phenomenon of the TV series with some of the original Derry girls including Eurovision winner and former MEP Dana.
