Sarn Helen is a journey through history, landscape and identity. Join Iolo Williams as he follows the traces of an ancient world beneath the mountains and valleys of Wales. Walking the old Roman roads with archaeologist Rhys Mwyn and various guests - artists, historians and farmers who know the stories and tales of the landscape, language and legacy. From the remains of crumbling fortresses to the Welsh language and climate change, we discover how the Romans left their mark on a nation that still carries it's footprints today. The series takes us from Caerhun in the Conwy Valley to Neath.
