Beo Faoin BhFód

In 1968, Irishman Mick Meaney was buried six feet beneath London in a coffin as crowds gathered to toast his descent. But Mick wasn’t dead. He was attempting to break the world record for the “Longest Time Spent Buried Alive.” Astonishingly, he wasn’t the first. This film traces the strange history of live burials, from 1920s California to a Dutch nun interred beneath a Skegness fairground. Through unseen archive, evocative animation, and interviews with those who knew him, Mick’s story is retold through the eyes of his daughter, who wrestles with the extraordinary and haunting legacy her father left behind.
