Sinéad Ní Churnáin
Sinéad Ní Churnáin RTÉ presenter/reporter Sinéad Ní Churnáin is a bilingual broadcaster and creative storyteller with two decades of experience in Irish television, radio, and documentary production. Her work spans youth programming, cultural narratives, and acclaimed documentaries, all delivered with a distinctive voice rooted in Gaeilge, authenticity and fun. Sinéad began her career with TG4 legend Hiúdaí on Cúla4 before joining Dustin in RTÉ’s Young People’s department, where she presented both live and pre-recorded programmes. She later moved to Cláracha Gaeilge RTÉ, continuing to champion Irish-language content. Her documentary credits include Fab Vinny, a heartfelt tribute to Vincent Hanley aka Fab Vinny featuring rare archive footage and exclusive interviews, and An Spud Off Mór, a vibrant portrait of potato growers in Corca Dhuibhne. In 2023, she produced and directed Cloch le Carn: Christy Dignam, which became the highest-rated Irish-language documentary of the year. As a presenter and reporter, Sinéad has worked on Scannal, COSC, Reabhlóid, Abhainn, The Geansaí, The Big Picture- Homeless and Powerless: The Storm That Shook Ireland, bringing depth, empathy, and insight to stories spanning politics, sport, history, entertainment, and everything in-between. She also co-presented two series of Aistear an Amhráin, an RTÉ documentary series that explores the stories behind iconic songs. Through this series, she guided viewers on a lyrical journey into the heart of Irish musical heritage, uncovering the people and moments that inspired these enduring anthems.
