A time when three brothers, shoemakers in a small town in East Cork, saw a chink of light sparking in France, and followed that light, creating cinematic and animation history in Ireland. This is the story of the Horgan Brothers of Youghal, cinematic pioneers at the time of the Lumiere brothers in France. Featuring their remaining collection of light shows, photographs, film and animation, this documentary will bring you back to a world when image capture was unique and magical. Their story has never been told. Until now.
