Established in 1972, RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta is the national Irish language radio service. The remit of this public service broadcaster is to provide a first-class high-quality radio service in the Irish language, especially in the Gaeltacht where Irish is a community language.

Approximately 40000 listeners per month access our programming by listening to the live webstream on the RTÉ website (source: RTÉ Publishing) and increasing numbers are listening to our podcast service.
